Oswaldtwistle Mills Business & Conference Centre Tenant Celebrate Triple Success

Education Business Partnership (NW) have three reasons to celebrate.

Having moved into Oswaldtwistle Mills Business and Conference Centre in February 2016, the newly formed organisation, also known as EBPNW, have gone from strength to strength scooping two awards and landing a nationally funded contract.

In June, the company who helps and supports young people and adults to improve their employment prospects, develop essential life skills and be able to self-manage their future, were named as Microbusiness of the Year at the inaugural Hyndburn Business Awards.

Then in October, they became the first organisation in the UK to be awarded the Fair Train Gold Quality Standard for Work Experience Services, an initiative backed by UK Commission for Skills and Employment.

Tracy Gardiner from EBPNW said “We are very proud of the work experience programmes that we manage and co-ordinate on behalf of schools, colleges and partners and the new Work Experience Quality Standard Award recognises our achievements and ongoing professionalism in providing quality and robust services.  We are extremely pleased to be the first organisation to be awarded the gold standard.”

The award offers a quality assurance framework for the work experience programmes EBPNW manage matching learners to high quality industry based placements.

More recently, EBPNW have been named as 1 of only 39 national partners to deliver an employer led mentoring project supporting young people who face challenges.  The initiative from government-backed Careers and Enterprise Company is a highly prestigious contract and ties into many of the key priorities that the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership have outlined through their Lancashire Skills and Employment Strategic Framework.

EBPNW set up in 2014 and deliver high quality enterprise, employability and personal development activities, specialising in work experience and mentoring to schools, colleges and other partners.

If any tenants or employers are interested in supporting a young person on work experience or through the mentoring project, then EBPNW would love to hear from you.
